ATAB to Host IATA Training Workshop for Accredited Travel Agencies in Bangladesh
Empowering IATA-accredited travel agencies in Bangladesh with global standards in aviation and air travel services.
The Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) is set to organize an exclusive IATA training workshop in partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), specifically tailored for IATA-accredited travel agencies in Bangladesh. This initiative reflects ATAB’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the skills and global competence of professionals in the Bangladesh travel agency and aviation industry.
Following productive discussions during the APJC meeting with IATA held on April 17, 2025, ATAB has taken proactive steps to ensure that accredited members are well-equipped to handle evolving demands in air travel and ticketing services. The upcoming training program is designed to offer hands-on guidance and knowledge-sharing sessions on critical areas affecting day-to-day operations of travel agencies to be delivered by IATA instructor from Singapore.
The workshop will cover essential topics, including:
- Industry Updates
- IATA Agency Program and the BSP
- IATA EasyPay
- IATA Customer Portal
- BSP Link
- GDS Abuse & ADM Policy
Scheduled to take place between August 18 and 25, 2025, the workshop promises to provide invaluable insights for professionals engaged in air travel and tourism services. The exact schedule, venue, and additional details will be announced soon.
ATAB has invited all eligible IATA-accredited travel agenciy members to submit their agency information via email (atab.org.bd@gmail.com) by May 31, 2025, to complete the registration process.
The training is exclusively for agency owners or officially authorized representatives—no proxy or spot registration will be accepted.
