HB Aviation & Tourism Institute Becomes Bangladesh’s First Private Aviation & Tourism Institute to Obtain PATA Membership
A milestone achievement as the institute becomes the country’s first private aviation and tourism training organization to join the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA).
HB Aviation & Tourism Institute, a leading name in aviation and tourism education in Bangladesh, successfully organized its 9th Certificate & Award Ceremony on 3 January at the Auditorium of Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB), Dhaka, marking the institute’s 9th anniversary.
During the ceremony, 200 students who completed their courses in 2025 were formally awarded certificates. In addition, more than 40 individuals were recognized with awards across various categories for their achievements as entrepreneurs, professionals, and contributors to the aviation and tourism industry.
The most significant announcement of the event was made by Zaki S Bari, Founder & Chairman of HB Aviation & Tourism Institute, who officially declared that HB Aviation & Tourism Institute has become the first private aviation and tourism training institute in Bangladesh to obtain membership of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). The announcement was met with strong appreciation from industry stakeholders, marking a major milestone for aviation and tourism education in the country.
On the occasion, Noor Ahmad Hamid, CEO of PATA, conveyed his congratulations through a video message sent from Malaysia. He noted that PATA membership would open new doors for HB Aviation students by providing access to international career pathways, global networking opportunities, and exposure to global best practices in the aviation and tourism sectors.
Speaking at the event, Taufiq Rahman, Secretary of the PATA Bangladesh Chapter, stated that through PATA’s global platform, students of HB Aviation & Tourism Institute would gain international-standard skills and enhanced professional exposure, better preparing them for the global aviation and tourism industry.
The achievement is being widely viewed as a landmark step that strengthens Bangladesh’s position in international aviation and tourism education and reflects HB Aviation & Tourism Institute’s continued commitment to developing a skilled, globally competitive workforce.
