Air Arabia Launches First Direct Flight from Sharjah to Krabi
The new daily service enhances Thailand’s connectivity and supports rising tourism demand in Krabi.
AirArabia has officially launched its inaugural direct flight connecting Sharjah in the UAE with Krabi, Thailand, marking a new addition to its growing network in Southeast Asia. The maiden flight landed in Krabi on 29 November 2025 and was welcomed by officials from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and local authorities.
The airline will operate daily services on the route using its modern Airbus A320/A321 aircraft, offering increased travel convenience for visitors from the Middle East. This new connection makes Krabi Air Arabia’s third destination in Thailand, alongside Bangkok and Phuket.
According to TAT, the Sharjah–Krabi route is expected to add more than 5,000 seats per month and support Thailand’s strategy to attract high-spending tourists from the GCC region. The direct flights are also anticipated to boost Krabi’s local economy, benefiting hotels, restaurants, halal-friendly tourism services, and small businesses, while helping distribute tourism more evenly across the country.
