Workshop to Support Development of Skilled Tour Guides in Bangladesh

As Bangladesh’s tourism industry continues to grow, the need for trained and professional Tour Guides has become increasingly important. Skilled guides play a vital role in helping visitors understand a country’s history, culture and heritage while ensuring meaningful and responsible travel experiences. Recognizing this need, aviation.com.bd is organizing a day-long industry workshop titled “Tour Guide Technique & Operation” on 25 April 2026 in Dhaka.
The workshop aims to introduce aspiring young professionals to the practical skills, responsibilities and communication techniques required to become effective Tour Guides and contribute to the country’s tourism sector.
The session will be facilitated by Mr. Taufiq Rahman, Founder and Chief Executive of Journey Plus and Secretary General of the PATA Bangladesh Chapter. With nearly three decades of experience in inbound tourism and hospitality education, he is widely regarded as one of the country’s experienced tourism professionals and has been involved in various tourism development and training initiatives both nationally and internationally.
Through this initiative, aviation.com.bd seeks to connect industry expertise with young learners and support skill development that can strengthen Bangladesh’s tourism ecosystem. The platform continues to work towards creating opportunities where experienced professionals can share practical knowledge with the next generation.
The workshop will take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Room 803, Biswa Sahitto Kendro, Banglamotor, Dhaka. Participation will be limited to 30 individuals to ensure an interactive learning environment. Participants will receive resource materials, lunch and a Certificate of Participation.
